Distance Learning Models

As of Wednesday, 9/23/20, The Heights Charter will have two learning models for distance learning. Families can choose to stay in the digital learning model until The Heights Charter resumes normal instruction. Families can choose to switch to the hybrid learning model. In the hybrid model, students will attend on-site instruction during half-day sessions and receive instruction digitally.

Teachers are providing direct instruction through Zoom meetings. On their digital classrooms, the teachers are posting support videos and connecting to the students through non-academic instruction. Teachers are also using Google Classroom to provide instructional materials and to archive older videos for student reference.

Work Pick Up and Turn In

All families on the digital learning plan can turn in their completed work from Weeks 7 and 8. All families can pick up their work for Weeks 9 and 10. Please note the adjusted packet drop-off and pick-up times.

Families whose students are on the hybrid on-site instruction will be given one week's work packet in class on Monday. Students are asked to bring their work with them every day. These work packets will contain a pacing guide and schedule for work to be completed.
